Certificate of Worship & Music by Extension (W.M.E.)
Objectives
- To provide formal training to those who are willing to serve God in the area of worship and music.
- To provide training opportunity and to upgrade church musicians who are unable to study full-time.
Nature of the Course
- This program is offered as evening classes and in modular form in outstation.
- Students are required to complete 12 courses in three years or maximum period of five years.

Semester 2 | Theology of Worship
Theology of Worship (3 cr. hrs.)This course is to examine the biblical and theological foundations of worship, and the development of worship in church history to the present day. It also explores the theological implications of the Church Calendar, music, arts and the use of symbols in worship. Furthermore, the students are equipped with the skills of creative worship design and leadership. |

Year 3 | Semester 1 | Christian Spirituality
Christian Spirituality (3 cr. hrs.)This course consists of the basic spiritual disciplines, which include the inward disciplines of meditation, prayer, fasting and the outward disciplines of simplicity, submission service, with major emphasis in relationship to God and in personal as well as corporate aspects of the Christian life. |

Semester 2 | Malaysian and Global Music
Malaysian and Global Music (3 cr. hrs.)Introduce, sing, and analyze church music other than Western countries in appreciation to music from different cultures and witness God’s almighty works in other parts of the world. Malaysian Music is highlighted to promote the contextual Music. |

Music Theory, Voice /Musical Instrument | Student must obtain at least Grade 5 of Music Theory, and voice or any musical instrument from Royal School of Music or equivalent upon graduation. | ||

Admission Qualification
- The applicant must be a born again Christian and clear in God’s calling to serve in the area of worship and music.
- Students must attain Form 5 or its equivalent in formal education, exceptional cases will be considered otherwise.
Admission Requirements
Applicant can obtain an application from the School, and send it to the School with the following supporting documents:
- Full academic records / Certified copies of school / College/ University certificates and Certificate related in Music
- One recommendation letter (Form obtainable from the school) from applicant's church pastor
- A personal statement of reasons for the enrolment to this course (250 words)
- A photocopy of identity card (IC)
- Two recent passport-size photographs
Graduation Requirement
- Students must complete all the courses.
- Students must obtain a GPA of 2.00.
